night I learned that President Trump fired the FBI Director, James Comey. These are challenging times filled with change, uncertainty, confusion, and the unknown.
As a spiritual being, I asked, "What is this really about?" The answers are many and yet maybe one: asking and allowing the deeper meaning or lesson to be revealed so we can gain the insight and wisdom from it. Pema Chodron said it this way.
“nothing ever goes
away until it has taught us what we need to know
…nothing ever really attacks us except our own confusion. perhaps there is no solid obstacle except our own need to protect ourselves from being touched. maybe the only enemy is that we don’t like the way reality is now and therefore wish it would go away fast. but what we find as practitioners is that nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know. if we run a hundred miles an hour to the other end of the continent in order
to get away from the obstacle, we find the very same problem waiting for us when we arrive. it just keeps returning with new names, forms, manifestations until we learn whatever it has to teach us about where we are separating ourselves from reality, how we are pulling back instead of opening up, closing down instead of allowing ourselves to experience fully whatever we encounter, without hesitating or retreating into ourselves.”

Difficult Times
In this moment, will you take a deep breath, step back and ask your soul? Trust your soul? Will you stay in "not knowing" in order for the wisdom of your journey to reveal itself in each moment of not knowing? As you do, will you take another deep breath, inhaling compassion and kindness for what you're feeling and exhale tension and dis-ease.
Maybe what's unfolding is
simply to teach us how to be compassionate and kind with ourself in these challenging times...so we can look into the eyes of other souls who are reflections of us and offer them the same compassion and kindness.
Can we do this together today and see what happens? ~
