"The tree of medicine must be transplanted into new soil, where its roots can deepen and intertwine to reach a more complex source of healing knowledge and bring together all traditions of healing, ancient and modern." ~ Dr Paul Drouin, President
World Summit of Integrative Medicine
Manhattan Holistic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) is offering a unique opportunity for innovative healthcare education and distribution. We offer you an opportunity to be part of an historic moment that will shift Manhattan consciousness and then the world about Integrative Medicine.
We gathered to celebrate both a birthing
and a remembering: to celebrate Michele's birthday and MHCC's move to a new home; to remember Dr. Mitch Gaynor, a pioneer in Integrative Oncology and his multidisciplinary approach combining proven medical treatments and complementary medicine. And to remember Shanti, a kindred spirit who gave and taught unconditional love.
Once again, we tried to capture the energy in our collage. To experience the energy first hand, we hope you will come to our meeting next month. Details below. Here’s a synopsis: - As a result of the many interactive activities provided, people were engaged with one another and came to really know and like each other. So we kept hearing, "Wow. What a great group of people!"
- In the spirit of
offering new options, we gave everyone a new set of questions to replace the old, ineffective “What do you do?” The laughter said it all- with fun party trinkets amplifying the joyful energy.
- Our speaker, Sam Liebowitz shared the magic of “Building Community Leaders" using a highly interactive and dynamic presentation. Be sure to read our Monthly Expert “Gems” below.
- Once again, the high point was our “Resource Exchange” segment where people said what they needed and within seconds other people generously offered to help them. Wonderful examples are below.
- As per your survey, we WILL focus on offering you tools to provide Corporate Wellness. See our Top Ten Topics for more specifics.
We’re
committed to helping you THRIVE and getting all of us a greater presence at the healthcare table. Are you with us? Hope to see you at our next meeting.

Sam Liebowitz Building Community Leaders
As much as we may think we are doing everything on our own, we are not working in isolation. We rely on each
other.
Sam's presentation profoundly illustrated the importance of community and teamwork, especially to achieve significant and lasting change.
Working in pairs, one person expressed their biggest dream while the other listened and suggested to the “dreamer” how they could make their dream a reality.
We obtained deeper
insights into manifesting our dream: BEING and ALLOWING versus DOING and CREATING.
What do you think?
