I share this, especially at this time of year when we are reflecting on 2022 and identifying what changes to make for the new year. For many of us, it’s at first an unpleasant task and then an impossible dream.
Instead, what if you NOT make it about a major overhaul to your life, or doing something radical. What if you released yourself from the need to solve
everything- in the world and within yourself?
What if you take an easy steady, step by step approach by ADDING more good to your life.
ADD one good at a time…more compassion, more acceptance, more kindness, more forgiveness, more grace, more humor, more fun, more joy, more gratitude and more love!
How
would it feel to watch that pile grow bigger and bigger and bigger day by day?
Here’s how with “Good Stuff in 2023”: each day, tuck a note into a bowl that captures one kind thought, something of beauty, a song you sang, an activity you’re grateful for, something
funny someone said, one of your successes or a loved one’s success. (Hope the pile of stones inspire you.)
Then, on New Year’s Eve, read them and be reminded of the wonders of the past year!
How wonderful would it feel to approach life this way?
Let’s give it a try! Consciously. Right now, I encourage you to take this moment to think about just one, little, good thing that you can add today. What will it be?
Write it. And start your “Good Stuff in 2023” pile.
